This marriage is recorded in Paul R. Sarrett's "Old 96 & Abbeville Districts, SC - Marriages - 1774-1890" dated December 30, 1997.
This profile was connected to parents John Milton Greer (1810-1884) and Mary (Braswell) Greer (1809-1854). The 1850 census for this couple, as well as Emily Davis, John's 2nd wife, do not include a son William, who was born at this time and should have been in 1850 census with parents. He may be related to the Greer family, but his parents are unknown at this time and will be disconnected.
After William's death in 1877, his wife Frances lived with her parents, as seen in 1880 census with their three children. [1] In 1878, Fannie married Newton Milton Greer, who was a son of the John Milton family. That family had a William living with them in 1860, but his parents are unknown because he was not with the family in 1850. It may be this person, but more information is needed.
