Biography

This Elizabeth should not be confused with any Elizabeth who was the daughter of any William or Thomas Gresley.

She was a daughter of Sir John Gresley of Drakelow, Derbyshire, by his wife Anne Stanley, and is, via her father, a descendant of Princess Isabel of Scotland and her husband Robert de Roos or Ros of Helmsley, Yorks., as well as of John Comyn Knt., of Badenoch.

She and her husband Thomas Montfort Esq had one son (Simon Esq) and one daughter (Eleanor, wife of William Pudsey Esq., of Langley, Warwickshire).
