Biography

Hence Griffin is a part of US Black heritage.

Hence was born in 1906.

Henderson Griffin married Annie Lee Wiggins on 13 January 1924 in Lawrence, Alabama, United States.^[1]

In 1930, Hence and his family were living in Lawrence County, Alabama.^[2] In 1940, they were in Oakville, Lawrence, Alabama.^[3]

When Hence registered for the draft in 1940 he was 34 years old and living in Danville in Lawrence County with his wife, Annie Lee Griffin. He was born in Lawrence County on March 15, 1906.^[4]

In 1940, Hence and Annie Lee were living in a rented home in Oakville. Five children remained at home.^[5]

In 1950, Hence and Annie remained in Oakville. Six children were in residence, including two born since the last census.^[6]

Hence Griffin died (age 46) on 23 July 1951 in Decatur, Morgan, Alabama. He was the son of Jim Griffin & Fayce Brackett.^[7]
