Biography

Nathan was born in Pennsylvania in 1796. [1] He was the son of Joshua Griffith and Jemimah Hazelton. He married Priscilla Wardell on 20 July 1820 in Tuscarawas, Ohio. [2]

He passed away in 1888 and was buried in Palm Cemetery , Rushville, Schuyler County, Illinois, USA. [3]

It is notable that Nathan served in the War of 1812 per the citation below. He spent a lot of time going back and forth between Iowa and Illinois later in life.
