John H. Griffith, 81, ex-owner of TV service in Krocksville

John H. Griffith, 81, formerly of 5543 Cetronia Road, Allentown, died Friday, Feb 11, in the Phoebe Home, Allentown, where he resided. He was the husband of Viola A. (Allender) Griffith, who died last month.

He was the owner and operator of Griffith TV Services, Krocksville, for 42 years before retiring in 1996. Previously, he and his late brother owned Griffith Brothers Meat Market, Allentown.

Born in Danielsville, he was a son of the late Jerry and Stella (Hahn) Griffith.

He was a member and former councilman of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Allentown, where he sang in the choir for more than 60 years.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors: Daughters, Nancy E., wife of John A. Boyer, and Mary Ann, wife of William Herishko, both of Allentown; sister, Betty, wife of Gerald Geist of Emmaus, four grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday in the church. Call 1-2 p.m. Tuesday in church. Arrangements, Trexler Funeral Home, Allentown.
