For some reason he had a son with Emma in 1897, before Anna had passed and before he married Emma. The link to the Grimm family appears to have been proven with DNA according to Ancestry, but proof has not been posted on Wikitree yet. The son, Roy, was liiving with Emma and her parents in 1900.
In the 1900 census Edgar (age 30), Laborer Oil Field, was the widowed head of household in Meade, Tyler, West Virginia.[1]
Edward passed away in 1943.

Edward Everett Grimm was born 16 Dec 1869 in Bearsville, Tyler County, West Virginia, USA and died 8 Mar 1943 (aged 73) in Steubenville, Jefferson County, Ohio, USA. He is buried at Coraopolis Cemetery, Coraopolis, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA.
Son of Rison, Riason or Reason Grim and Amanda Jane (Darnell) Grim Mossor Hamlin or Hanlin.
Edward first married Annie L. Forester, of Tyler Co., WV., on January 13, 1894 by J. N. Smith, minister of the M. P. Church.
Annie died July 21, 1899. He then married Emma May Locke on Nov. 24, 1900 at Chas. Locke's, Pleasants Co., WV by C. L. Hall, a minister of the Gospel.
Mr. Grim worked as a construction worker and watchman at River Sand Co.
