Australian Town and Country Journal (NSW : 1870 - 1907)Saturday 23 June 1894 A very old resident, Mr. Andrew Grimes, a farmer, residing near Anvill Creek, whilst walking home from Greta on Saturday night, stumbled and fell into a waterhole 2 ft deep. He struck his head against a log lying across the waterhole, which rendered him insensible. When taken out of the water he was quite dead, death having resulted from drowning.
