the son of Joseph Grimsley and Mahaley Catherine Hale, George was born in 1856. He married Flora Bell Beard in 1883 in Metcalfe, Kentucky. [1] A Teacher, George died in 1914 in Green County, Tennessee, [2] and is buried in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Green County. [3]
