Charlotte Henriette Elisabeth Gutmann (married name Schulze) was born on 9 March 1855 in Wittingen, Niedersachsen, daughter of Dorothee Charlotte Magdalene (Schulze) Gutmann and Theodor Friedrich Wilhelm Gutmann.^{[citation needed]}

She married Louis Gustav Schulze on 5 October 1880 in Bethany, South Australia.^{[citation needed]} Their children were:^{[citation needed]}

• Friedrich Heinrich Christian Schulze (1887–1955)
