Frederick A. Haak was the eldest child of German immigrants Hermann Haak and Louise Graves. He was born about 16 June 1866 in Flushing, New York.
The 1870 and 1880 U.S. Census records show Frederick (ages 4 and 13 respectively) living in Flushing with his parents and siblings[1].[2] His father is listed as a Carpenter.
On 20 December 1888, he married Fannie Tilly Wilson.[3] Their known children are:

Fannie Louise "Tillie" (Haak) Pasch - 1891-1955[4]
The 1900 U.S. Census shows Frederick Haak, age 35, living in North Hempstead with his wife and three of their children: Jeannette (age 10), Fannie L (age 9), and Grace F (age 5).[8] Also in the household are a servant (Nina Wright, age 20) and a boarder (John Cadoo, age 25).
Frederick Haak died of typhoid fever on 26 August 1902.[9][10] He is buried with his wife in Flushing Cemetery.[11]
