Evelyn was born on Jul 10, 1912[1] in Carlinville, Macoupin, Illinois.[2] She was the daughter of Arthur and Agatha (Rhodes) Hacke. She was listed in the household of her parents in the 1920 and 1930 census.[3][4] On Aug 30, 1930, she married Harold Nichols in Hillsboro, Macoupin, Illinois.[5] The marriage ended in divorce. Prior to the 1940 census, Evelyn married Charles Hires. The couple were listed in the 1940 census living in Alton, Madison, Illinois.[6] Evelyn died on Jul 10, 1912[7] and was buried next to her second husband in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, St. Louis, Missouri.[8]
