Biography

Samuel was born June 6, 1674, the son of Thomas and Mary Hale.

Samuel married Martha Palmer on about 6 November 1698. They had 7 children. He settled in Bradford, Massachusetts (the part now Groveland), at a place called "Hale's Corner's". He was a man of "handsome estate, a leading man in his town, and a farmer of superior order".

After Martha's death in 1723 he married secondly Sarah Perley on December 30, 1723 in Haverhill, Essex, Massachusetts.

He passed away December 13, 1745.

Burial: Riverview Cemetery Groveland Essex County Massachusetts, USA

Inscription: Here lies buried the body of Mr Samuel Hale who died Decr 13 1745 in the 72nd year of his age (noted in Inscriptions From the Old Cemetery in Groveland, Mass. (formerly East Bradford) by Louis A. Woodbury through archive.org/Google)
