Nathan Hale was born in Appalachia, in Kentucky.

Nathan Bryan Hale was born on 12 Apr 1897 in Menifee County, Kentucky, USA, son of Rev Greenville Rice Hale and Alifair Jane (Griffith) Hale.

In the 1920 census Nathan (age 22) was the single son of Green R Hale in Menifee County, Kentucky.[4]

Nathan married Lear Eveline Peck (1907 - 1977) sometime prior to the 1930 census. Their children were:

In the 1950 census Nathan (age 52) was the married head of household in Menifee County, Kentucky.[7]

Nathan died (age 67) on 5 December 1964 in Menifee County.[8][9][10] and was buried in Egelston Cemetery, Menifee County.[11]
