Arminda (Hall) Glover was born in Pennsylvania.

Arminda Hall was born on 5 November 1857 in Stewart Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Garrett Hall and Sarah Grindstone Hall.

Garret Hall (52), farmer, and his second wife Sarah, owned real estate valued at $4000 and personal property valued at $1200, in household with children, Rebecca (24), Isaac (22), Henry H (20), Jno (18), Susan (15), Darrel (12), Barbara (10), Seever (8), and Arminda (1). All in household were born in Pennsylvania except Sarah, born in Maryland.[1]

Garret Hall (61), farmer, and his wife, Margaret (37), owned real estate valued at $2000 and personal property valued at $4250, in household with children, Darrell (22), farm worker, with $100 personal property, Barbary (19), Seever (16), farm worker, Arminda (11), Cassinda (9), Ervin (2) and Charles Lytle (7). Garrett, Margaret and Arminda reported unable to read or write and all in household were born in Pennsylvania.[2]

Arminda reported she had 9 children, 8 living, and in household with Delia (21), born July 1878, John W (19), born September 1880, Lulu (17), born December 1882, Ewing S (12), born October 1887, George A (9), born October 1890, Charles H (6), born February 1893, Daisy E (3), born May 1897, and Mary E, one month old, born April 1900. Lulu attended school 9 months within the census year, Ewing and Charles attended for 7 months, and Charles attended for 6 months. All in household were able to read, write, and speak English, with George, Charles, Daisy, and Mary not reported, and all were born in Pennsylvania.[4]

Arminda reported she had 9 children, 8 living, and in household with John W (29), teamster, Lulu G (27), Ewing S (22), teamster, Lonza G (19), farm laborer, Charles H (17), farm laborer, Daisy E (12), and Ethel M (10). Daisy and Ethel attended school within the census year. All in household were able to read, write, and speak English and all were born in Pennsylvania.[5]

Harold and Dorothy attended school within the census year. All in household were able to read, write, and speak English with William and Genevieve not reported, and all were born in Pennsylvania.[7]

William J Harbaugh (60), B&O Railroad boilermaker, and his wife, Daisy E (42), owned property valued at $2000 in Mill Run Village, in household with their children, Harold (20), farm laborer, Dorothy (19), new worker, William (15), Genevieve F (12), and Alverda A (4), and also Daisy's mother, Armanda Glover (82), widowed. All in household except Alverda were at the same property in 1935.

William J worked 24 weeks during the census year and earned $416, Harold worked 42 weeks and earned $180, and Dorothy worked 2 weeks and earned $7. William J completed 5th grade, Daisy and Harold completed 8th grade, Dorothy completed 4 years high school, William G completed 1 year high school, Genevieve completed 6th grade and Arminda completed 5th grade.[8]

Arminda Hall Grover died at age 89 years, 5 months and 14 days of cardiovascular renal disease, in the home of her daughter on 20 April 1947 in Springfield Township, Mill Run, Fayette County, Pennsylvania and was buried at Johnson Chapel Cemetery, Henry Clay Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Arminda's daughter Daisy signed the death certificate.[9]

Samuel Glover was a cousin through his mother, Maria Shipley, whose mother was Martha Jane Hall Shipley, second cousins.
