Passing of Mr. T. Hallo

We report with regret, the death in hospital on November 26, as the result of an accident, of Mr. Thomas Hallo, one of Port Augusta's oldest and best known citizens. Deceased, who was 88 years of age, was local agent for the SA Farmers Union in the years when this port was the centre through which practically all the wheat grown in the North was shipped and took a keen and active interest in civic and sporting activities. The funeral was conducted at the Port Augusta cemetery on Wednesday, when a representative gathering of citizens took the opportunity to pay their last respects.
