Joy, the daughter of John and Essie (Willis) Hallum, was one of eight children.
She married 18 Feb 1950 to H. B. Minney. They had two children, Raymond and Vicki.
Joy "cooked, canned, sewed, and made quilts and afghans, always staying busy. She and H.B. loved playing cards, going fishing, putting out a garden, raising chickens and feeding all the birds, especially humming birds. She also loved to read and work crossword puzzles, at which she was a whiz. Her loving heart led her to send cards of encouragement to the sick or sad of heart...she was always thinking of others and taking care of their needs. " [1]
Joy is buried at Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, Oklahoma.
