Halsall, James. Private. 241877. 1/4th Battalion, Cheshire Regiment. 90 Old Park Lane, Southport. Died: 26/03/1917. Age: 33. Jerusalem Memorial, Israel. Before the war, James worked for WHSmith in Neville street. He was reported missing and wounded on 23rd March, no more word was forthcoming until August 1918, when he was officially listed as killed in action. The Last Post memorial letter was sent to his address.^[1]
