David was killed in the Battle of Pinkie, Pinkie, Cleugh, East Lothian, Scotland on 10 Sep 1547 and was succeeded by his brother John Hamilton.[2][7]
Research Notes
Anderson first states that David had a son, John, and three daughter and that he was succeeded by his son[8] but later describes him as having only three daughters with David, his heir being his younger brother John.[7]
