Biography

Mary was born about 1801 in Ireland. She married in Ireland where all her eight children were born. In her seventies she found herself as the wife of the proprietor of large iron foundry in Birmingham, where her younger sons James Hamilton and Edward Lillie, and one of her grandsons John William all worked, Later, as a widow, she returned to Ireland, where she died in Co. Roscommon in 1891 aged 80 years. [1]
