Charlotte Hamlett was born in Painswick, Gloucestershire, England, the daughter of John Hamlett , a Master Mason, and his wife Edith née Tippin, and was baptised on the 25th July 1813, in Painswick.[1]
After their Banns had been published the required number of times, she married John Thomas, sculptor, on the 9th June 1835, in St Bartholomew's Parish church, Edgbaston, Warwickshire. Charles Pixell, Vicar, officiated, and their witness was Anthony Harrison.[2] They were to have one known child, a daughter Caroline Charlotte (1844-1884 (Hale)).
On the 6th June 1841, Charlotte and John were living on Allen Street, Lambeth, Surrey, with his occupation given as sculptor.[3]
Charlotte Thomas née Hamlett passed away on the 25th January 1850, in Richmond Villa, Fulham Place, Paddington, Middlesex, England, aged 37 years,[4] and was buried on the 31st at All Souls, Kensal Green, Kensington.[5]
