Susan Hamman was born in Marden, Kent, England.

Susan Hamman married John Acworth on 12 September 1608 at Saint Andrew by the Wardrobe, London, England^[2].

Susan and John had 4 children by this marriage: John Acworth (baptised 1608); Sarah Acworth (baptised 20 Aug 1610); Allyn Acworth (baptised 25 July 1613]] and William Acworth (baptised 25 July 1615) who went on to become the Storekeeper at the dockyard.
