Edia was counted on the census as a one-year-old with three older sisters living in Lafayette, Louisiana with their parents in 1900.[1]
By 1910 her parents were living in Crowley Ward 4, Acadia, Louisiana, with just their youngest (fifth) daughter, a ten-year-old, at home. The document states that by then they'd had five children, but only four were living.[2]
Therefore, Edia died after the 1900 census was taken, and before 1910.
Research Notes
With such close names and ages, it's also possible that Edia and Ada are the same 4th child, and the 5th was born and died after 1900 but before 1910. Please post here or in the comments if you have any information.
