  7. 7.0 7.1 =Research notes= For his date of birth, the 1900 US Census gives his age as 54 and that he was born in June 1845. The US Censuses from 1850 through 1910, give his age as 4, 15, 25, 35, 54, and 64. The date of enumeration for each of the censuses through 1900 was 1 June. And for the 1910 census it was as of 15 April 1910. The 1885 Nebraska State Census taken as of 1 June gave his age as 39. His death certificate gave his date of birth as 26 June 1845, which is consistent with his age as given in the various censuses, even though the information for his date of birth is second hand.

John H. Hannah is my great-grandfather. I have seen Howard and Henry for his middle name. His son, Clyde, my paternal grandfather, gave Henry as the middle name on a government job application in the 1940s. I remember seeing Howard in a obit for his second daughter but that was in 1958.
