Rose was the second child and first daughter of John Hanniver and Jessie Higginbottom. She was born on 08 April 1915 at Carlton, Victoria, Australia[1].
As a child she lived in Colac, Victoria. Later her family moved to Altona, Victoria.
Rose married Ernest Alexander Oborne in 1936[2]. Ernest died in 1943. There were no children from this marriage.
Doug and Rosie were parents to one daughter and three sons. From 1953 they made their home in Traralgon, Victoria.
Rose died on 11 June 1998 at Traralgon, Victoria, Australia[4]. She was cremated, and her ashes were scattered at Koornalla (near Traralgon), Victoria, Australia[5].
