Biography
Thomas Hanson was the son of Edward Hanson of Woodhouse, Yorkshire and Joana Kay.[1]
He was born before 1558, likely in Yorkshire, England, based on his first child. He is estimated here as born about 1548.
He married Katherine, daughter of Thomas Brooke of Newhouse. Their children were:[1]
- Elizabeth, baptised 1579, married William Horton
- Edward, baptised 1581/82, heir
- Katherine, married first Thomas Sharp
- Mary, married William Mallinson
- Agnes, baptised 1588, married Mark Micklethwaite
- Margaret.
His will was dated 27 July 1623 and proved 9 Jan 1634/24. He was buried at Elland, Yorkshire, England on 5 Aug 1623.[1]
