William was born in about 1850 (according to his death certificate). He was the son of Robert Harbron and Sarah Marshall.
William married Mary Louisa Collins on 22 Aug 1872 at the Baptist Church on Lowe Abbey Street, Dublin North, Ireland. He was 22, a bachelor and an Engine Fitter living at 35 Seville Place. Parish of St Thomas, City of Dublin. She was 23, a spinster and living at 2 Langrista Place, Parish of St. George, City of Dublin. His father was Robert Harbron, an Engine Driver, and her father was William Collins (deceased) an Inland Revenue Officer.
Daniel E. Evans was the officiating minister and William F Collins was the witness for William and W. H. Williams was the witness for Mary Louisa.

He was present at his son Robert William's wedding in 1899 in Dublin, Ireland.[2]
William James Harbron passed away on 1 Aug 1923 at Irishtown Gormanstown, Stamullen, Drogheda, Meath, Ireland at the age of 73. He was registered as married and a Locomotive Engineer. He died of certified Heart Disease. His son R.W. Harbron, who lived at 29 Cobra Park, Dublin, was present at death.
