Edward Harding RAMC MRCSI was born in Ireland.

Edward was born about 1882.[1] He was the son of Edward Harding and Jane Tuthill.

BIRTHS
Oct. 13, at 87 Marlborough-road, the wife of Edward Minchin Harding, a son.[2]

Ireland Census Event Date 1901: Living with his parents, 13 year old sister Helena and one servant in Main Street (Wicklow Town, Wicklow), Ireland. Aged 18.

Occupation: Medical Student

In the UK Census of 1911 he was recorded at the East Riding Lunatic Asylum, Walkington, Yorkshire East Riding, England. Aged 28 and single.

Occupation: 2ND ASSISTANT MEDICAL OFFICER OF ASYLUM

He married Mary Geraldine Reynolds (the daughter of Walter Reynolds and Matilda Hamilton) in 1917 in Yorkshire, England.[3] She was 16 years his senior.

Unlikely they had children.

During the 1st World War Edward served with the Royal Medical Army Corps, entering the Theatre of War in France in 1917. He attained the rank of Captain.

Edward was entitled to the Victory Medal and the British War Medal.

He passed away in 1940 at the age of 57.[4]

DEATHS
HARDING.- February 21 at Moor Court Hotel, Stroud, aged 57. Dr. EDWARD PALMER HARDING, M.R.C.S.I. of Wicklow and Beverley, beloved husband of Geraldine (nee Reynolds).- Funeral Amberley Church Stroud, on Monday, February 26.[5]

His will was proved on 30 March 1940 at York to John Francis Travers, solicitor.[6] Effects: £337 13s. 6d.

Last address: Moor Court Private Hotel, Amberley, Stroud, Gloucestershire, England

His widow Mary Geraldine Harding died the following year, on 7 April 1941. Her unmarried sister Mabel was the beneficiary of her Will.
