Ida was born August 17, 1919 in Nahma, Michigan. She is the daughter of David Hardwick and Ellen Osawaneinigi.
Ida L. Stine, age 84, of Trenary, MI, died May 13, 2004 at the Norlite Nursing Center in Marquette.
Ida Hardwick was born August 17, 1919 in Nahma, the daughter of Dave and Ellen (Ossawanimakee) Hardwick who preceded her in death. Ida was raised in Nahma and attended the Nahma schools until her eighth grade year.
On February 9, 1942, Ida Hardwick married her husband John Wesley Stine at the Indian Point Church in Nahma. Together, Ida and Wesley made there home in the Trenary area and Ida worked as a launderer in many of the hotels throughout the area, especially the Ramada Inn in Marquette.
Prior to Wesley's death in 1989, Ida and Wesley enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States. Ida also enjoyed dancing and playing cards. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
Ida Stine's survivors included: 2 Sons; Wayne (Patricia) Stine of Trenary, MI; Randall (Kristine) Stine of Trenary, MI
2 Daughters; Joan (Wesley) Wilbee of Rapid River, MI; Carol (Charles) Atherton of Trenary, MI
1 Brother; Melvin "Ted" (Vernis) Hardwick of Smithville, TN
1 Sister; Louise Amato of Anaheim, CA
Also surviving were 12 Grandchildren; Darren (Kara) Wilbee, Paul (Dana) Stine, Randee (Michael) Johnson, Dale Wilbee, Meredith (Walter) Thompson, Dulcee (Steve) Pokela, Marla (Matthew) Rondeau, Keel (Shelley) Stine, Michele (Matthew) Persondek, Sarah Stine, Michael Wilbee, Emily Stine.
16 Great Grandchildren; Jesse, Jay, and Raysha Grahovac; Tylor Pokela; Matthew, Ashley, and Morgan Wilbee; Taylor Englund; Jacob, and Harrison Stine; Caitlin, and Evan Thompson; Beau, and Jack Rondeau; Xander, and Zakery Stine
Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
In addition to her parents, Dave and Ellen, and her husband Wesley, Ida was preceded in death by, several brothers and 1 sister.
