Biography
Morgan Edward Davies ( Hardwidge ) was a boy who later beacame a bare knuckle fighter as well as a miner. He was born before John and Pheobe married, and never officaly took the name of Hardwidge. He married an Elizabeth Thetford under the name Davies, she died within the year and is buried with two other Hardwidges in Trealaw, under the name Elizabeth Hardwidge. In all the census he is down as Hardwidge, and he enlisted as Morgan David Hardwidge. I don't think the situation was helped by the fact that he could not read or write. provided by Clare Hardwidge
