The Visitation of Yorkshire doesn't actually state that Michael is John's son, but that Michael is descended from Hardy, sometime Lord Mayor of London. Particularly, as Michael is buried in 1618, which implies only 2 generations in over 100 years, which again is highly unlikely in this time period.
Michael Hardy of Wetwang, East Riding, Yorkshire, England, married Allison Skelton 14 Oct 1565 Yorkshire, England[1][2][3] They had children:
John Hardy of Wetwang, (... -1641) married Margaret Newlove , daughter of John, widow of George Hynesley of Wartre.

Hi, I'm doing work on East Riding profiles and came across this 1500s profile with URLs that need updating. I found the correct URLs (Borthwick Institute — Cause Papers) but can't edit pre-1700 profiles.
The only change is the domain name, everything after ".uk/" is the same.
