Mary Pinkney Hardy was born at Berkeley, Norfolk, Virginia, to Thomas Asbury Hardy and Elizabeth Margaret Pierce, in 1852.
In 1860, Mary was living at home with her parents, siblings and 3 others.[1]
In 1870, Mary was again living at home with her parents and family.[2]
Mary married Arthur MacArthur Jr in Norfolk, on May 19, 1875.
After the deaths of her husband in 1912, and two of her sons, Mary travelled to Manila with Douglas and his family, where she died suddenly in 1935.
