1888 & 1889 Written on 20 Dec. 1888; Probated: March the 4th 1889 The Will of Thomas Gaylor: I, Thomas Gaylor of Campbell County, State of Tennessee, being in feeble and declining state of health, buy of disposing mind, knowing the uncertainty of death, bring decisions to settle up my business affairs of life and to make such a disposition of my personal property after my decease as seems to me to be just and right and proper do hereby make , ordain, declare and publish this instrument to be my last will and testament hereby awaking and making null and void any other will on bequest to me heretofor made. And whereas my personal property and estate being small and only sufficient for the support of my wife and such assistance as she may need in the family after my decease in her old age. I therefore will and bequeath to wife, Susan Gaylor, all my personal property and estate of every kind of description whatever stock, household and kitchen furniture, and all that is on hand at the time of my decease to have and enjoy during her natural life. And after the death of my wife, I will and bequeath to my son Elijah Gaylor all that is on hand after the decease of his mother. Personally appeared in open court, James Heatherly and L. J. Fritz subscribing witnesses to the within instrument who bring first room depose and say they are acquainted with Thomas Gaylor, Sr. the within named testator who signed and acknowledged the within instrument in their presence on the day it bears date to be his last will and testament and that said will was signed at the request of the testator and the time of signing and acknowledging the same said Gaylor the testator was of sound mind and disposing memory and that said instrument was carefully read to him before signing. Given render my hand a the office in Jacksboro this March the 4th 1889.
