Charles N. Harrison was a resident of Amador County for 70 years, died on April 10. He worked for 34 years as a powerhouse operator for Pacific Gas and Electric Co. in Amador County. An active member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Sutter Creek, Harrison belonged to the National Amateur Press Association and was a member fo The Fossils and Historians of Amateur Journalism. Several pieces came up in a quick search of Harrison. He spent time visiting some home folks in Berkeley in 1938. On February 14, 1959, he married Nora Veronica Flynn in Blessed Sacrament Church, Twenty Nine Palms, Pioneer. They honeymooned in Apple Valley. Their home was in Whispering Pines in Pioneer. He worked at the power plant and was editor of Miscellany, the Capsule-sized newspaper.
In 1939, Harrison and Byron Geertz of Tiger Creek spent the year-end in Pasadena and Los Angeles. They scouted the Tennessee - USC game in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day (1940), Charlie covering the game for Miscellany.
