Biography
United States Army Civil War Soldier. 143rd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Company I. Received battle field commission, Second Lieutenant, July 1, 1863. Mortally wounded in action at Gettysburg, July 1, 1863. Died August 20, 1863, Union army Hospital, Gettysburg, PA.
His son Daniel was also in the 50th Regiment Pa. volunteers from March 2nd,1864 to July 1st,1865.
