Gertrude was Choctaw.

Gertrude was born 8 Sep 1895 at Soper, Kiamichi, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, the daughter of Eastman Hart and Martha Chapman. Gertrude passed away 25 Aug 1913 at Soper, Choctaw, Oklahoma. She is buried at the Hart Indian Cemetery, Choctaw County, Oklahoma.[2]
