She may have been listed twice in the 1880 census. She is enumerated with her father and the rest of the family in Paw Creek, Mecklenburg County, NC as Ann, age 20.[1] But there is also an Anne Hartgrove listed as a 20 year old servant to the Robinson family just across the county line in South Point Township, Gaston County, NC.[2]
