He is listed with the last name Young in household of Henry Adam Young & Effie Mary Davis in 1911 Census. Effie's other children with her first husband Nelson Hartin are all listed with the last name Young as well. Samuel is not listed in Henry Young's household in the 1901 Census therefore he most likely is a child of Effie Mary Davis and her previous husband Nelson Hartin. If anyone can find further evidence of Samuel's father please add and make any necessary changes.
