Men: 1 under 10, 2 between 10-15, 1 over 45, Women: 1 under 10, 1 between 26-44. 4 slaves. This could be our Mary as the one girl under 10.

  • [https:/www.familysearch.org/ark:/619033:1:33S7-9YYY-59R?i=4&cc=1803955&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AXHG6-XCW 1820 census] William Haselden of Marlboro, SC does have a daughter between 16 and 25. This can't be our Mary tough because this William is himself around 20. His wife is around 20 and they have a baby boy.
  • There is no record of William Haselden in Williamsburg in 1820 census. Or his wife Mary. Could be he died after will made in 1812. Mary could have remarried by 1820 under different name and children would have gone under her newhusband's name.
  • before Jan 1800 William Haselden and Samuel Hasledon are neighbors, according to land sold to James Johnson.
  • 1801 William Haseldon owns land on Catfish Creek in Marion County.
  • 1812 Marion Co. will of William Haselden lists wife Mary Haselden and a potentially? married daughter Mary. It is unclear if daughter is already married or if he is saying in the future if she is married. If already married, then can't be the same person because our Mary Abrams would have been too young to have been married in 1812. Witnessed by Samuel Haselden (below?). William and Mary Haselden owned a slave woman named Lizet and others named Jane, Mary, and Sip.
  • Samuel Haselden gave land for Ebenezer Methodist Church on Muddy Creek in Williamsburg in 1820. He died in 1822 (could be Harriet Abrams' father? Website says name was Heaselden, later spelled Haselden. Married to Ann).
  • Muddy Creek, Williamsburg is also where William J. Haselton owned land, according to Singletary, James D., Plat For 681 Acres On Muddy Creek, Williamsburg District, Surveyed By James G. Fulmore. Date: 26/1857. But 1857 is late, might not be same William HaseltonHaselden. Check middle initial J.

Samuel Haselton/Haselden Probably not the father because no daughter named in Will.

  • "Samuel Hasleton" owned land before May 1744 at fork of Willow and Jeffreys Creek in Craven county. Jeffries Creek does run through Indiantown, SC today (near Cades, SC).
  • [https:/www.google.com/books/edition/History_of_WilliamsburgnOpYAAAAMAAJ?hl=en&gbpv=1&bsq=haselden 1822 will] does not mention a daughter named Mary, unlike the will of William Haselden. Wife Ann, sons James and Samuel Wyatt, daughter Violetta L.

Maternal Grandfather?.

  • 1820 Georgetown Map by William Hemingway lists a Heriot family on the Pee Dee River. This must mean that the name "Heriot Haselden" on Agnes Abrams's death certificate is listing her mother's name, which maybe had Heriot as her middle name suggesting family name further back?.
  • Robert Heriot was a Captain in Revolutionary War. Lived on a plat next to John Bremar. Is Bremar on 1820 Williamsburg map to show that Robert lived there?.
  • Robert Heriot / Heriott bought land in Georgetown 1786 on Bay Street.
  • Robert Heriot was executor of William Heriot's will in 1821 in Georgetown (so two families should be on 1820 map if living in Williamsburg. William seems to have been married to Sarah).

In 1842, a govt petition was signed by two Robert Abrams and a James Haselden.

On 1850 census for non-person schedule, there is a Thomas B Abrams listed on same page as two William Haseldens. Could these be the neighboring parents of RTB and Harriet Haselden?.

  • In Johnsonville cemetery (in same one where Mary Abrams probably buried), there is a William Haselden 1811-1896. This would potentially put him as Mary Abrams' brother or cousin, since she was born 1805.

Mrs. S. Eleanor Haselden Eaddy donated land in 1914 for Johnsonville First Baptist Church.
