Biography

Margarett Hatch, child of Will & Katherine, was baptised on 29 April 1703 in Linkinhorne, Cornwall, England.[1]

Margaret married Matthew Prideaux on 9 Feb 1726[2][3] There is a Marriage Allegation dated some three weeks earlier: Matthew Prideaux to be married to Margaret Hatch by Licence. The allegation was made on 13 January 1726 in South Hill, Cornwall, England.[4] (This record shows the bride's residence as Linkinhorne, confirming that this marriage and the birth record listed above are for the same person.)

The couple had (at least) seven children, many of whom did not survive childhood.

Taken from the Cornish opc file which in turn is transcribed from the County Records You may not be aware but I have a deep interest regarding the Prideaux family I have done a lot of research with John Schmeakle who was at one time a Magna Carta project leader who has now left Wikitree
