Biography

Zerviah, whose name was spelled Zurviah in birth records,^[1] was born 9 May 1758 at Preston, CT.^[1] and baptized on 2 Jul of that year.^[2] She was the daughter of Jeremiah Hatch and Abigail Rich.^[1]

Little information has been located regarding her life. It appears that she was never married and passed away 10 May 1817,^[3][4] the day after her 59th birthday. She was buried in the family cemetery at Griswold, CT.^[4] which had been her home all her life. (Griswold was established in 1815 from the property in the north section of Preston.)
