Hannah Sarah Haycock was born circa 1826 and Baptized 14 February 1826 in Boreham, Chelmsford, England. She and her husband, William Goodey, married 1 September 1847. They lived in the same home “The Boat House” for over 40 years. By 1881 Hannah is a Widow still living in the same home as she is when the 1891 census was taken. After the death of her husband, she became a Laundress and later a Charwoman. In 1901 she is shown still living in Boreham but at Potash, whether this is a street name or cottage it is unknown but at the age of 76 she is still working as a Charwoman. Hannah who was born and lived all her life in Boreham died in 1907 at the age of 81.
