Bridget is known from the passenger list of the ship " Fred Warren." She was traveling with her father, Lawrence Hayes from Cobh, Ireland and died during the crossing to America, probably sometime in June 1849.
So far as can be known, Bridget was the eldest child of her parents, and named for her father's mother. She was apparently the only member of the larger family traveling at that time with her father, though the rest of the family joined him in Boston sometime between 1849 and 1851.
