Asa Heald was a Revolutionary War pensioner and was recorded with the following service:[2][9]
Asa Heald was a private in Capt. James Hosley's Company of Minute Men, Col. William Prescott's Regiment. The unit marched to the alarm of 19 Apr 1775 to Cambridge. Asa was discharged 4 May 1775; service of 18 days.
Capt. Warren's 6th Middlesex Co., Col. John Reed's Regt., as returned by Col. Reed to Brig. Gen. Prescott, dated Littleton, 17 Sep 1777, residence in Townsend, Mass..
Capt. Maxwell's Co., Col. Bailey's Regt. for a term of three years. Served in 5th Co. (South Co. in Townsend), Col. Jonathan Reed's 6th Regt., year not given. Served as a private in 1st Co., Col. Bailey's Regt., 26 May 1777 to 1 Mar 1778.
He was recorded as discharged on 1 Mar 1778.
