It is not clear whether the Hannah Headworth in the below court records is the same woman as the Hannah in this profile. The original court records should be examined for confirmation.
From the Virginia Genealogical Society Quarterly, pg 296 (Prince George County, 10 Nov 1719):
"Mary Burchett, Wife of Robert Burchett, sets forth that she is frequently beaten, wounded and evil intreated by her husband and is denyed the necessaries of life (as dyet and clothing) and prays to be relieved. Said Robert appeared and court orders sheriff to take him into custody to detain him until he gives bond of 20 pounds for his good behaviour for a year and a day.
A Grand Jury was impanelled: Henry Tweatt (foreman), William Mattox, William Reess, Daniel Meadows, Henry Ledbetter, John Risby, John Bonner, Mathew Smart, Jr., Edward Scott, John Pook, Richard Vuretson, Richard Tomlinson, James Jones, Joseph Woodleife and Henry Tatum, and make these presentments: We present Hannah Headworth and Margaret Mattox for having bastard children. On motion of John Handyman, one of the Churchwardens of Westover Parish, said Hannah and Margaret are to be summoned to next court.
Robert Burchett to pay costs of case brought agst him by Mary Burchett."
