Samuel sailed to American on "The Griffin" in 1675 with Quaker leader John Fenwick and married his daughter
Samuel Hedge married Ann Fenwick "by 30 Nov. 1676, when Samuel Hedge of Salem was described in a land patent of that date as "second son of Samuel Hedge of London, mercht." He was appointed secretary and register of Fenwick's Colony for lifetime in the will of his father-in-law, dated 7 Aug. 1683, and he represented Salem Tenth in the West N. J. Assembly, at Burlington, 1697-1701..."[1]
He was co-executor of his son's will of 1708/9; no record of his death was located by Cook at the time of his 1960 article.
