John Helton married Sarah ___. Her maiden name was Walters, according to various Ancestry trees. Based on 1850 and 1860 US census records, John and Sarah were both born about 1801 in North Carolina, were living in Illinois by 1850, and died about 1862 in Illinois. Their children included Lavina, William, and Perry, maybe others.
