Biography
Matilda was born in 1826 in Pelham, Upper Canada. [1] She first married James Chambers in 1847 and had eight children with him. After he died in 1862, she married Thomas Clarkson in 1865 in Welland, Ontario. [2] Matilda and Thomas had one son, George. Matilda died around 1895.
