Biography

Archibald was born in 1811. He passed away in 1895. ^[1]

In 1881, Archibald, age 70 and his wife Elizabeth, 62 were in Lot 31 with Daniel, 23; Barret, 20 and Richard, 14.

In 1891, at home were Richard 22, daughter Jane McFadyen, 26, a widow, John Henderson, a grandson, and Hedley McFadyen, age 2. Hedley was the son of Jane and Donald McFadyen, and according to her father's will, John was Jane's son as well.

"Mr. James Arbing, our tanner, was married today at Bannockburn to Janie Henderson, widow of the late Donald Mcfadyen, and young- est daughter of Archibald Henderson, of above place...^[2]

Archibald left his estate to his son Kenneth, and Kenneth was to provide for his mother Elizabeth. John, eldest son of Jane Henderson, got $30.00, and his John Henderson was one of the executors of his will. ^[3]

His son Thomas died in 1949. " MR. THOMAS HENDERSON Thomas Hcnderson, the son of Archibald Henderson and Elizabeth Heartz, and one of a family of fourteen children, was born at Kingston on Feb. 20, 1857..." ^[4]

Research Notes

It seems wrong that he would be in a Catholic cemetery, as he was a Baptist... PEI Genealogical Society master name index says Archibald was buried in CEMETERY TRANSCRIPT 31-3; PEIGS PUBLICATION, probably Clyde River.
