Robert "Bob" Henderson was born on June 3, 1924, in Elkhart, Indiana. He was the son of Harry Henderson and Ilah Sawyer, his father, Harry, was 25 and his mother, Ilah, was 21.
He married Carolyn Elaine Weatherton on November 14, 1947, in Elkhart, Indiana. He then married Pauline L Maurer Henderson and they had one son together.
He died on October 31, 2014, in Edwardsburg, Michigan, at the age of 90, and was buried in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana.
