Note N906In the Carlisle record office it has his baptismal date and the fact that his father was already dead. In the 1851 census John is 42 and living on the High Street in Annan, a Master Tailor employing 2 apprentices and having been born in England. Ten years later they have moved to Liverpool, and are at 98, Hill Street Toxteth, he is head of household and described as tailor. His wife is with him as his son Robert Elliott, also described as a tailor. Daughter Ann Elizaabeth (sic) is also living there described as a Milliner. On Marriage Certificate of son Robert Elliot Henderson John is described as a Tailor. The IGI has a John Henderson, son of John and Margaret being christened on 26 Jun 1808 in Arthuret, Cumberland. In Liverpool in the 1861 and 1871 census but gone by 1881.
